Quickstart: create your first campaign

This walkthrough takes you from a fresh account to a working campaign in about ten minutes. By the end you’ll have personas, a brand voice, competitors, and your first content draft — everything StoryMint’s tools need to work well.

Have these ready:

  • Your brand or product name, written exactly the way you want AI assistants to detect it
  • A one-or-two sentence description of your campaign goals
  • Your website URL (optional, but recommended)
  1. Create your account. Sign up at storymint.id — the Free plan needs no payment details. Confirm your email and sign in.

  2. Create a campaign. Click Campaigns in the top bar, then + New Campaign, and fill in the form:

    • Campaign Name — how it appears in your list, e.g. Q1 Skincare Launch
    • Brand/Product Name — exactly as you want it detected in AI answers (max 50 characters)
    • Campaign Goals — what you want the campaign to achieve, e.g. increase brand awareness among 25–35 year old women, drive website traffic
    • Target Market, Currency, and Content Language (English or Bahasa Indonesia)
    • Product Sales Campaign — turn this on only if the campaign sells products; it unlocks the Shopping Tools
    • Website URL — optional, but powers site-specific analysis

    Click Create Campaign.

  3. Work through the setup checklist. Every campaign has four setup steps, and each one improves the tools downstream:

    1. Personas — generate audience personas from your goals and market
    2. Brand Voice — define how your brand sounds
    3. Competitors — add the brands you’re competing against
    4. Content — generate your first piece

Your progress shows on the Dashboard under Campaign Setup. Details: The campaign setup checklist.

  4. Run your first AI visibility check. In your campaign sidebar, open AI Search → LLM Visibility to see how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode talk about your brand — and open AI Search → AI Citation Audit to find the queries where competitors get cited instead of you.

  5. Draft your first content. Open Content → Content Writer, pick a persona and a topic (the citation gaps from step 4 are great candidates), and generate a draft aligned to your brand voice.

  • Read your campaign dashboard — the overview & daily briefing surfaces what to do each day.
  • Connect Google Search Console — unlocks the whole Optimization section.
  • Try a workflowGet Cited by AI chains audit → gap analysis → drafting automatically.
