Audience Discovery

Audience Discovery grounds your personas in reality. Instead of relying only on generated profiles, you create questionnaires, collect answers from real customers, and let StoryMint discover personas from the actual data.

Find it under Audience → Audience Discovery in your campaign sidebar.

  1. Click Create New Questionnaire.
  2. Build your questions and share the questionnaire with your audience — customers, subscribers, or social followers.
  3. As responses come in, StoryMint analyzes them to discover the real segments in your audience.

Both types live together under Personas:

  • Generated personas (from the setup checklist) are fast and get the campaign working on day one — they’re informed estimates.
  • Discovered personas come from actual customer input, so they capture segments you might never have guessed and correct the estimates.

The practical path: start with generated personas, launch a questionnaire early, and refine as real data arrives. If you already have a persona you trust, you can also test it directly with a validation survey instead.
