Personas

Personas are research-backed profiles of your audience segments, and the foundation of StoryMint’s audience-first approach: content drafts, visibility checks, gap analyses, and channel strategies all start from a persona.

Find them under Audience → Personas in your campaign sidebar.

Each persona card shows the essentials: name, archetype (e.g. Independent, Seeker, Nurturer), age range, location or behavior pattern, the share of your audience it represents (e.g. 20%), and when you last chatted with it. From a card you can View Details, chat, edit, or delete.

Above the cards, the Audience diversity score rates how well your persona set covers your market across age, location, archetype, income, role, and channel — Excellent coverage means no obvious blind spots. Click Re-run analysis after adding or editing personas.

Use + Add Persona to create another, or jump to Content Calendar and Campaign Studio straight from this page.

Open View Details for the full profile:

  • Demographics — age range, location, role, income range
  • Goals & Motivations — what they’re trying to achieve and what they value
  • Pain Points — the specific frustrations your content should speak to
  • Buying Behavior — how they research, compare, and decide
  • Communication Preferences — preferred channels and tone
  • Messaging Guidelines — key messages that work, and messages to avoid

The Messaging Guidelines are directly actionable: they’re the do’s and don’ts your copy should follow for this persona.

StoryMint generates your initial personas from the campaign’s goals and target market (part of the setup checklist). To ground them in real customer data, run Audience Discovery questionnaires or validate them with surveys.
