Competitors
The Competitors tool (Competitive Analysis) does two jobs: it’s where you manage your campaign’s competitor list, and it analyzes each competitor by simulating how your personas react to their positioning.
Find it under Market → Competitors in your campaign sidebar. Adding competitors is step 3 of the setup checklist.
Manage your competitor list
Section titled “Manage your competitor list”Click + Add Competitor and enter the competitor’s name and website URL. The list under Your Competitors feeds every competitor-aware tool in StoryMint: Brand Performance share-of-voice comparisons, Competitor Spy monitoring, and Price Intelligence.
Analyze a competitor
Section titled “Analyze a competitor”Click View Analysis on any competitor. The flow:
- Select Competitor — pick who to analyze
- Analyzing — StoryMint analyzes their positioning and simulates your personas’ reactions to it
- Results — the competitive insights: how their messaging lands with the exact audience you’re targeting
This is the audience-first twist: instead of a generic feature comparison, you learn which of your personas find the competitor appealing and why — which tells you where you’re vulnerable and which counter-positioning will work.
Choosing competitors
Section titled “Choosing competitors”Add the brands your buyers actually compare you against — the names that show up next to yours in AI answers (check Brand Performance’s share-of-voice panel). A focused list of 3–5 real alternatives beats a long list of nominal ones.
