The campaign setup checklist
Every new campaign starts with a four-step checklist. Your progress shows as a percentage on the Dashboard under Campaign Setup, and on each campaign’s overview page.
The order matters — each step feeds the ones after it.
1. Personas
Section titled “1. Personas”Generate your audience personas under Audience → Personas. StoryMint builds them from your campaign goals and target market. Personas power almost everything else: content drafts, LLM visibility checks, journey maps, and persona chat.
→ Personas
2. Brand Voice
Section titled “2. Brand Voice”Define how your brand sounds under Content → Brand Voice. Every draft the Content Writer produces follows this voice, so set it before generating content.
3. Competitors
Section titled “3. Competitors”Add the brands you compete against under Market → Competitors. The competitor list drives Competitor Spy, Brand Performance share-of-voice comparisons, and competitor messaging analysis.
4. Content
Section titled “4. Content”Generate your first piece under Content → Content Writer — it draws on all three previous steps: written for a persona, in your brand voice, positioned against your competitors.
Why 100% matters
Section titled “Why 100% matters”You can use most tools before finishing the checklist, but results improve sharply with each completed step. A LLM Visibility check without personas has no pain points to test; a draft without brand voice sounds generic. The Dashboard’s Tips & Insights panel will keep nudging you toward whatever’s missing.
